Salpha Healthcare Services provides waiver services approved by the Department on Disability.

We are dedicated to providing innovative, high quality and personalized services that will lead to meaningful and productive lives of our persons with intellectual disability.

Companion

  • Provide non-medical assistance and supervision to support a person’s goals, desires, and needs. Goals may be related to the person’s safety, promotion of independence, community integration and or retention.

Host Home

  • Provided in a private home, referred to as “host home”, which may be leased or owned by the principal care provider.

In-Home Support

  • Services will be provided to people who have an assessed need for assistance with acquisition, retention or improvement in skills related to activities of daily living that are necessary to enable the person to reside successfully at home in their community and participate in community activities based upon what is important to and for the person.

Respite

  • Provide relief to a person’s family or primary caregiver to enable them to participate in scheduled or unscheduled time away from the person, and to prevent gaps in the delivery of the person’s services.

Supportive Employment

  • Services are designed to provide opportunities for persons with disabilities to obtain competitive work in integrated work settings, at minimum wage or higher and at a rate comparable to workers without disabilities performing the same tasks. We will provide training to persons with intellectual disability to prepare them to be competitive in the community when seeking jobs.

Behavioral Support

  • Our behavioral support plan is based on an understanding that there are reasons for challenging behaviors. We work to understand the underlying reasons. We assist such persons to develop skills to replace challenging behaviors.

Small Group Supportive Employment

  • The goal is to assist our persons with intellectual disabilities to find and keep employment in competitive jobs in typical integrated work settings.

Employment Readiness

  • These services include career counseling and guidance, formal education and general job training to ensure job readiness. In addition, staff will assist with on-the-job support to ensure transition to a new job is smooth.
